Becoming a mother is one of the most amazing gifts that life can offer us, and that love you feel for your bundle of joy is unparalleled.

However, while many mothers are overjoyed by the experience, not all women are lucky enough to be able to conceive naturally and it can take some mothers years to finally be able to have a baby of their own.

That is why blogger mum-to-be, Macy, decided to use her blog as a platform to document the struggles she faced as she tried to get pregnant. In just one image, she managed to sum up the difficulties endured by thousands of women who must take medication and undergo various surgeries to have their little one.

Macy writes a blog named Martinis & Medicine where she talks about infertility, miscarriage and the stages of various treatments such as IVF. She shared the photo of syringes, pill boxes and her baby scan as an “infertility pregnancy announcement” to her followers.

“It only took 4 years, 3 miscarriages, depression, 107 hormone injections, one surgery, two procedures, over 100 suppositories, and several thousand dollars to get our baby,” she wrote.

The touching image by the brave blogger serves to inspire all the women who are also dealing with the heartbreak of infertility.

“Our baby doesn’t erase years of loss, depression, hopelessness, pain, tears, and crying out to God … what our baby does is fill us with a love and joy and gratefulness that I never knew possible,” she continued.

“I’m so in love I can hardly stand it.”

Macy, who has been blogging since 2014, has since taken to Instagram to share her fertility journey with pictures of her bump progress and baby purchases.
