Getting your first ultrasound is a very special milestone in your pregnancy journey. For the first time, you can see your little bubba growing inside of you, and it all seems so much more real than just some lines on a pee-drenched stick.
It’s no wonder then that so many parents-to-be want to cherish their ultrasound picture forever.
With this is mind, it’s understandable that two mums-to-be were outraged when they realised they had been given the SAME 3D ultrasound image.
The revelation came to light when one proud expectant mumma, Jenn Cusimano from Canada, posted a snap of her unborn baby to a Facebook group filled with mums-to-be.
And when another mother commented saying the image looked curiously similar to her own baby scan, it soon came out they’ve had their scans at the exact same place, too.
Of course the women became even more suspicious of the identical images.
Outraged, they called Babyview 3D Parental Imaging Clinic where they'd visited, who put the twin images down to a “computer glitch."
Eek!
Not satisfied with the answers provided, Jenn posted this to Facebook urging other mothers who’d visited the clinic to check their pictures asap.
Jenn later posted that another NINE women had reached out to her with similar concerns, so she setup a new Facebook group - Babyview 3D scam– to find out just how many parents have been affected by the so-called “computer glitch.”
Clinic owner Adeel Mir told CTV news he suspected a virus has caused the glitch, and that he was sorry for the error.
“I apologise on behalf of BabyView… We are sorry. Whatever occurred, this was not intentional. It wasn’t our intention.”
