‘Almost everyone is very polite’ was one of the nicer observations, as well as ‘People don’t seem afraid of their neighbours or the government.’
Surprising revelations were that the American found British food ‘generally outstanding,’ and celebrated the nation’s pub culture.
‘Everyone knows more about out history than we do’ he added, while also saying that Brits seem generally smarter than the average American.
‘There are no guns,’ Scott rejoices, while going onto celebrate towel warmers and the village drunk.
