This CCTV footage shows the shocking moment a mother is caught teaching her child how to shoplift
The video – which was released today – shows the pair entering the late night off licence.
The mum seems to spend a long time looking through the shelves of spirits while her young child, who’s thought to be give years old, stands close by.
Although you cannot hear what is being said, it seems the young child knows what her mother wants as she is seen reaching for a bottle of Tequila. However, the bottle seems to heavy and she can be seen gingerly replacing it and picking up a smaller bottle.
Incredibly, the little girl then starts to edge out of the shop with the bottle hidden behind her back as her mother continues to act as a decoy by scanning the shelves.
The owner of the shop, in Pembroke Park, Florida, told 7 News: “This lady walks in with the child, the child must be five years old.
“The mother is covering her, it's unbelievable.”
