Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga may choose to wear real fur but at Closer we don’t believe that anyone needs to wear it and we should always opt for faux fur instead.

This is why we’re supporting PETA – The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals – and their latest campaign.

The charity have launched a special donation scheme - supported by former TOWIE star Lauren Pope - where people can give their unwanted fur to a brilliant cause.

Whether you’ve inherited a fur coat, received it as a gift or had a change of heart about wearing real fur, you can send your items to PETA who will put them to good use…

They donate coats to the homeless and have also sent fur items to refugee camps in Calais and Syria and also to animal sanctuaries and shelters to use as bedding.

With Spring almost upon us, it’s time to ditch the fur for good.
