It's time to break out the bolly, because Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, starring sweetie-darlings Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, is due to hit UK cinemas on 1st July this year. Well that's our summer plans sorted, then.

While we wait not-so patiently for the release date, here's everything we know about the movie so far...

Kylie Minogue will sing the theme tune

Everyone's favourite Aussie superstar has revealed that she will be lending her vocals to Ab Fab's theme tune 'This Wheel's On Fire,' originally recorded by Bob Dylan.

Speaking to The Sun, the singer said 'As a huge fan of the Ab Fab series and both Jennifer [Saunders] and Joanna [Lumley], I’m over the moon to be singing the theme song.'

Paloma Faith, La Roux and Jason Derulo are also rumoured to have contributed to the movie's soundtrack.

The TV show's theme tune used a version of the song recorded by Julie Driscoll and Saunders' husband, Adrian Edmonson.

The full trailer has just been released

Spoiler alert - it's just as fabulous as we'd ever hoped. The trailer opens with our spirit animals Patsy and Eddie blagging their way into an A-list party, in the hope of persuading Kate Moss to let them manage her PR. However, things go awry, and the duo are forced to go on the run to the South of France...

In the trailer alone, we spotted Stella McCartney, Jon Hamm, Rebel Wilson, Stella McCartney, Lily Cole and Gwendoline Christie...

The list of cameos is HUGE

Thought Zoolander 2 managed to do a good job of marshalling a bunch of fashion-y celebs into sending themselves up on camera? The full list of cameos for the Ab Fab movie has just been released - and it's very extensive indeed. Trust us when we say that there will be more random appearances than Taylor Swift's 1989 tour.

Our latest glimpse at the Ab Fab movie comes in the form of a poster, which shows Patsy and Eddie enjoying a cinema visit in the time-honoured style - with a bucket of champagne on ice, of course!

Patsy and Eddie sit front row at Fashion Week

If the latest teaser image is anything to go by, the Ab Fab movie looks set to rival Zoolander 2 in terms of the sheer volume of celebrity cameos (not that we blame the A-list for wanting to get involved…) This new picture shows Patsy and Eddie at Fashion Week – and given the stature of their ‘careers’ in the fashion industry, it’s only natural that they’re sitting on the front row. They’re shown jostling for space with the likes of Abbey Clancy, Gwendoline Christie, Sadie Frost, Lulu and Tinie Tempah.

The Absolutely Fabulous trailer has arrived!

It's here! The first trailer for the Ab Fab movie has finally dropped, giving us a glimpse at what we can expect from Patsy and Eddie's move to the big screen. The short clip sees our heroines living it up on a yacht in the French Riviera, knocking back the cocktails (naturally...) and generally behaving in an Absolutely Fabulous manner. When it comes to plot spoilers, though, this brief trailer doesn't give anything anyway...

Jennifer Saunders has penned a laugh-a-minute script

Joanna Lumley confirmed on This Morning that the movie was definitely happening, and promised the end result would be a "ravishingly funny" film, written by Jennifer Saunders.

The plot is basically a PR nightmare that even OTT PR exec Edina Monsoon can't rescue them from. It sees Edina and Patsy out on the lash around London - eating and drinking their way around the coolest new hot-spots, until everything goes awry at a launch party where they're blamed for a major incident. The ladies are forced to flee the media storm and head to the French Riviera, without a penny to their names.

The original cast are making a comeback

Die-hard fans will be pleased to know that many of their favourite old cast members like Edwina's daughter Saffy (Julia Sawalha), and her madcap assistant Bubble (Jane Horrocks) would all be making an appearance.

"We are all there, the same old gang," said Joanna. "Lots of people you will have seen in it before, I think we are going down to the south of France to do some of the shooting there."

As is Patsy's beehive

Joanna, AKA gin-sozzled, chain-smoking Patsy, revealed that her famous beehive would be returning, but it was pretty heavy-going maintaining it.

"I usually use my own hair, and that's usually for one show a week in front of an audience," she explained. "But when you're shooting for seven or eight weeks every day, I think I'll give it a bit of a break."

Kate Moss is making a cameo

Speaking to The Mirror, Jennifer confirmed that the supermodel will appear in the film version of the cult TV series.

"I can confirm that Kate does have a part in the forthcoming movie" Jennifer said. "It's not yet decided whether she’ll have a speaking part or not, but she’ll definitely be in it. She’s a big fan of the show and we’re pals, so – aside from the fact she’s the definitive model - it was a no-brainer."

We hope Kate is in a scene with Joanna Lumley, aka Patsy - after all, Patsy Stone would TOTALLY have approved of that whole 'Basic Bitch' moment on Easyjet.

Other rumoured celeb cameos include Victoria Beckham, Kim Kardashian, Lulu and Emma Bunton. Here's hoping Kim teaches Eddie how to take a selfie.

Kate Moss suffers an untimely death

Pictures of Kate Moss have been circulating which see her emerge from the Thames with a cigarette in her mouth and a champagne flute in hand. Dressed in an extravagent green sequinned evening gown, she still looks elegant for someone fresly washed up on a river bank. But it could be the beginning of the end of the supermodel's cameo, as it's confirmed her character is killed off during the movie. Eyes peeled for more scenes of Kate on set.

London designers will make an appearance, too

Anya Hindmarch, the designer best known for her quirky statement bags, confirmed to *WWD *that she would be joining the *Ab Fab *line up, saying 'It's a dream come true, and just lovely.' Her red 'men at work' handbag (inspired by the humble British service station, no less) will also make an appearance. *The Telegraph *also reports that Brit designer Giles Deacon and Game of Thrones's Gwendoline Christie will have cameos, too.
