Adele performed an extra-emotional version of her track One And Only during the Chicago leg of her tour, after revealing to fans that her 17-year-old miniature pinscher Atilla had been put down on Wednesday.

The singer dedicated the track to the late four-legged-friend and paid tribute to the pooch, who she shared with boyfriend Simon Konecki.

“I might cry tonight,” Adele warned fans at her Chicago show. “I have two dogs and one died today. It was put down this morning.

“He was very old. He was my boyfriend ’s dog, so I’ve only known him for six years. He was still my dog.”

After performing One and Only Adele said: “The one and only Atilla. I’ll dedicate a lot of songs to him tonight. I feel terrible that I’m not there.”
