It was one of the odder requests a director might ask of an actress, prior to even casting her in their film, but it helped Cara Delevingne secure the role all the same.

Speaking to Sci-Fi Now the model/actress revealed that Suicide Squad director David Ayer told her to: 'Go to the forest, the country – hopefully under the full moon – naked, and feel what it feels like.'

Umm... OK, right-o, sure. That would have been our response.

Cara's, however, went more like this:

'This is fXXXXXX awesome! OK, I’m going to do that!'

Brave. Very brave...

'I didn’t even have the part yet,' she continued. 'That character was a lot more freeing, in a way.'

Speaking about how she then went on tackle the role of supervillain Enchantress, Cara said: 'The Enchantress side was more about finding that part of myself, studying addiction, desperation and that void.'

Suicide Squad, set for release on 5th August in the UK, tells the story of a band of supervillians released from prison by a secret government agency. In exchange for a pardon, the 'squad' then have to execute dangerous black ops missions to save the world from an unknown, powerful force.

Also starring Margot Robbie, Will Smith and Ben Affleck, Suicide Squad is billed as the action-fantasy flick of the summer. It is also Cara's first mega role in a blockbuster. And we can't wait to see her in it.
