Don’t worry if you're not attending the BRIT awards this year, a series of intimate gigs in the lead up to the biggest night for British music will be taking place very soon.

Acts including The 1975, Craig David, Tinie Tempah, Wild Beasts and Lianne La Havas will be putting on a series of intimate shows next month from the 14th Febuary, to raise awareness and money for an important charity: War Child.

The initiative helps delivering solutions protecting and educating children in some of the world’s worst conflict areas including such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Democratic Republic of Congo.

‘Since 2009, War Child has been producing really special shows around the BRIT Awards that unite some of the greatest musicians in the world in support of children living with the brutality of war,’ Liana Mellotte, Head of Music, Entertainment Development at War Child says. ‘This year’s line-up is once again testament to the musicians who generously donate their time, talent and unending commitment to protect the rights of children in the most horrendous circumstances.’

‘Words can’t really convey how grateful we are to them, to O2 and to our supporters around the UK who make this such a special time for War Child.’ Last year, War Child raised a record breaking £564,768, bringing together artists from Bloc Party, Jamie XX, Florence + The Machine and Coldplay.

Tickets for all gigs go on sale at 9.00am on Friday (January 20th) at britsweekwarchild.co.uk - to enter the prize draw to win tickets you can make a £5 donation. A limited number of tickets for some of the shows will be available to buy exclusively to O2 customers via PriorityTickets from 9am Wednesday 18th January.
