The 2016 Olympics came to an explosive end last night in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together the globally acclaimed athletes for one last roaring send off. Well, until we see them again in four years time.

And with the honourable handover going to Tokyo, the night was a huge celebration of light and colour, spilling from Rio’s Maracanã stadium. But the attention was well and truly stolen from the athletes as Victoria’s Secret model Izabel Goulart took to the stage.

Donning a bejewelled gold two piece and some rather familiar Victoria’s Secret-esque wings, Izabel felt right at home. Though she took to Instagram to admit she was nervous, as she psyched herself up for the performance with a rather interesting warmup - squats.

And Twitter went into meltdown over the model’s appearance with retweets and heart-eye emojis in abundance. But she’s not the only supermodel to have stolen the show this Olympic season, as Gisele Bündchen opened the ceremony with her final ever walk. Talk about drama.

But Gisele made sure to congratulate everyone on the Olympic Games with a sweet Instagram tribute describing the event as, ‘a thrill’.

Well, we think the girls deserve a gold medal for their performances, don’t you?
