When Donald Trump removed his new communications director Anthony Scaramucci just 10 days after his appointment to the position, we knew that Twitter would have a field day, but we didn't realise a specific iconic '00s film would be getting so much love.

Kate Hudson shared a meme on her Instagram account yesterday of Trump and Scarammucci's faces PhotoShopped onto the poster for her iconic rom-com How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, writing: 'Box office results are in! The #1 comedy in America!' after Twitter user Andrew Nathanson drew parallels between the two scenarios. As a vocal Hilary Clinton supporter, it's no surprise that Hudson was quick to share the funny comparison.

Starring Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, the film saw the two leads taking on opposite bets: while McConaughey had to prove he could make any woman fall in love with him in 10 days, Hudson had to prove she could turn any guy off by making stereotypical relationship mistakes, like being clingy or needy. (We know what you're thinking: it hasn't aged well in the sexism stakes).

Scaramucci's job didn't get off to a great start: in his first 10 days he hit headlines for threatening to fire his entire team and launching a foul-mouthed tirade against colleagues including former chief of staff Reince Priebus. Probably not the best job fit for him.
