Did you write to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to congratulate them on their fifth wedding anniversary?

No? Well, too bad! Because if you had, you would have been the lucky recipient of a bespoke 'Thank You' card, featuring a never-before-seen portrait of the couple.

Photographed in what appears to be a garden, the Duchess wears a Whistles ivory pleated skirt and a tweed jacket by Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, and stands arm-in-arm next to her loving husband.

How are we aware of this pic? By the miracle of Twitter.

It all came to light as a result of a tweet the snap's photographer, Paul Ratcliffe, posted to his social media account yesterday.

Naturally, the internet went wild for it. So much so, Paul felt compelled to post a follow-up tweet, revealing what the card actually said. He captioned it: 'Who would have thought my twitter would go into melt-down after I received a thank you card from the Cambridges!!'

'Who would have thought', Paul, seriously? WE WOULD HAVE. We're writing the Cambridges a letter for every annual celebration from now on. Starting with Prince George's upcoming birthday.

We've got our card and envelope ready, we think we can guess the address, and as for the stamp, well, we've got that sorted too...
