Kate Moss turned 42 this weekend, and naturally, she threw herself a party. But as one of her dear friends David Bowie passed away the week before, she decided to throw the party in his honour.

She invited her nearest and dearest to her house in the Cotswolds for a blowout 80s-themed extravaganza, with a source telling the Daily Mail that she asked guests to channel their 'inner-Bowie'.

Boy George confirmed the theme, tweeting "Had a lovely night in the Cotswolds celebrating Kate Moss's birthday and dancing to classic Bowie. In fact her birthday was a Bowie tribute!"

Of course, Mossy delivered on the costume front, pictured in Instagrams posted by photogtrapher Mert Alas wearing a sequined archive Pam Hogg jumpsuit and awesome purple metallic platform boots.

Kate's no stranger to dressing in the style of Bowie - in 2014 she accepted a BRIT Award on behalf of the music legend, wearing a cat print jumpsuit he wore as alter-ego, Ziggy Stardust.
