This year marks the tenth anniversary of Mamma Mia, the 2008 musical adaptation which brought ABBA’s greatest hits to life on the big screen.

And to celebrate, Universal are planning a sequel. Even better, original cast members Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth, will be returning for Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again with a few extra exciting celebrities added to the line up too.

The first of these new additions to the cast is Lily James, who will play 'Young Donna,' (aka a younger version of Meryl Streep's character) in Here We Go Again!

From what we can tell, the film will go back and forth in time with a series of flashbacks, showing 'how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present.'

As well as her breakout role in Downton Abbey, a part in the BBC's epic War and Peace adaptation and this summer's turn in Baby Driver, Lily is best known for the live-action version of Disney's Cinderella.

Also on the bill is none other than Cher, who will be playing Sophie's grandmother and if the trailer is anything to go by she'll be bringing all the sass to the magical Greek island of Kalokairi this year.

_Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again_is due to be released on July 20, 2018 and the original stage musical's co-creator, Judy Craymer, is set to return for the sequel. ABBA members, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus will provide music and lyrics for the production and will also work as executive producers on the film. And yes, there will be a lot more ABBA music for you to sing along to, too.

All we can say is, thank you for the music.
