You may have noticed your Insta-feed looking a little static of late. Why? Because the latest social trend to go viral involves its subjects to stand very, very still… Like a mannequin. But what is the Mannequn Challenge?
It appears to have cottoned on after a Twitter user @pvrity posted a video on Twitter 12 days ago of six high school students holding a series of still poses – some standing, some sitting on a classroom table - with the hashtag #manequinchallenge [we’ll forgive the typo here].
And now everyone from Adele to Destiny’s Child have been showing off their best frozen impression. Hillary Clinton even participated in the challenge on election day - urging people to not "stand still" and go out and vote.
