You've already seen the dazzling Instagram footage of Taylor Swift's intense Met Gala dance off with Tom Hiddleston, but how did such an epic battle come about? According to Hiddleston, it was all out of the kindness of Taylor's heart. Aww.
'I was on the same table as she was [at the Met Gala]. The Weeknd was playing [...] She lent over and said "The thing about playing a gig like this is that nobody dances",' the actor explained. 'She had this huge compassion for them as performers, so she was like "If they do an encore, we have to dance".' And dance is exactly what they did...
'In a way it was really generous of her, actually,' he added. 'She was like, "these incredible musicians are playing [..] amazing music that you're supposed to dance to, and no one's dancing, so let's get up and dance".' Quite.
Will the actor be 'welcomed to the stage' at Taylor's next concert date? Here's hoping...

If anyone knows about the importance of getting down to this sick beat, it's Taylor Swift, so it's unsurprising that this year's Met Gala co-host took to the dancefloor to celebrate her fashion ascendancy.
After shaking it off with best pal Karlie Kloss (who later cut her Brendon Maxwell dress into a mini after spilling red wine on her train - a girl after our own hearts), Taylor soon became embroiled in a dance off with Night Manager star Tom Hiddleston.
The pair first cut some surprisingly well executed shapes to T.I's 'Bring 'Em Out,' including plenty of 'bring it' style hand gestures from Swifty (straight out of the 'Shake It Off' video) and some robotic moves from Hiddleston.
Next up was Beyoncé's 'Crazy In Love,' accompanied by some dramatic twirling and really rather graceful choreography. We like to think that Queen Bey herself was somewhere in view and gave the two dancers her regal blessing, but we'll never know for sure.
Tay and Tom for the next season of Strictly Come Dancing? Or maybe a re-boot of Step Up? We're crossing our fingers.
After the show it's the after party, and both Taylor and Tom headed to the official Met Gala afterparty at the Boom Boom Room in the Standard Hotel. And after the after party? Pizza, animal onesies and three integral members of Swift's squad, in the form of the Haim sisters.
