Mila Kunis has spoken out about her relationship with Ashton Kutcher on The Howard Stern Show, and much like the plots of Friends With Benefits and No Strings Attached, their relationship started out pretty casually.

Kunis described how she had kept in touch with Kutcher since That ‘70s Show, but it was not until years later at an awards show that she started to see him differently.

‘I see this guy and I see his back and he's really tall... Then he just turns around and it was literally like if we were in a movie, the music would start playing and the violins would go. I think for the first time ever he took my breath away - I was like f*ck, he's good-looking.’

Kunis explained that she went to Kutcher’s for an after party, and he had atually planned to set her up with a friend of his. However, this didn’t go to plan. ‘Long story short, I didn't leave until the next morning... [It was the] first time I ever slept over while I was single,’ Kunis said.

Apparently the pair kept things casual at first, saying they would even tell each other when they were going on dates with other people. But naturally, that didn't last long. Kunis joked: ‘If we had just paid attention to those movies we should have known sh*t like this does not work out in real life.’

After three months of dating, the couple made their relationship exclusive. 'We were incredibly open with each other in regards to where we were with our feelings,' said Kunis.

The couple - who now have a child together and are expecting a second - tied the knot in July 2015, and Kunis revealed that the wedding was a surprise to both of them.

‘We started dating with the idea we were both never going to get married," she said. A year later we were like, 'Tomorrow let's [get married]'.'

While the stars knew each other as teenages - Kunis in fact shared her first kiss with Kutcher on the set of That ‘70s Show - she said in the interview that everything happened the way it did for a reason.

'We would never be together based on the people that we used to be,' she said.
