It looks like this year, Prince George is really, really excited for Christmas – so excited, in fact, that he’s already got a head start on opening his presents.
While attending his final royal engagement of the year, Prince William revealed to Kiss FM DJ AJ King that three-year-old George couldn’t wait for December 25th, and had been sneakily opening some of the presents left under the Christmas tree at Anmer Hall, the Cambridges’ family home. ‘The Duke said they were all really excited about Christmas and that George is already opening his presents,' King revealed, though luckily the Duke and Duchess managed to see the funny side of their eldest son's tricks (we can imagine it's hard to stay annoyed with George for long). '[William] thought it was quite funny,’ the DJ added. ‘That’s kids for you, even the ones that are princes.’
‘I said Christmas would be a bit different for his children this year and he said they would be having a family Christmas together’.
William, his wife Kate and younger brother Prince Harry were attending a Christmas party for mental health charity The Mix, which provides help and support for 13 to 25 year olds.
This year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their two young children will be spending Christmas Day at Carole and Michael Middleton’s home in Bucklebury, Berkshire, rather than joining the rest of the royal family at Sandringham.
The DJ also revealed that William requested that he play a track by electronic duo Groove Armada. Is this an attempt to prove that he’s not a regular royal but a cool royal?
