Attention one and all, we may have just found your dream job.

Her Majesty requires a candidate to make cushions and curtains for her three royal residences - Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and St James’ Palace.

The successful applicant will be responsible for 1,000 rooms in total (good heavens) and will be paid £22,000 a year for their hard graft.

To qualify for the position as Curtain Maker and Soft Furnishing Upholsterer, you'll need to be ‘organised, with a structured approach to work’.

According to the job description, the Queen requires candidates that will ensure that their ‘curtains add the finishing touch to the state rooms’.

The successful applicant will have ‘a thorough understanding of conservation and significant experience of making new items' and will be able to 'identify, survey and accurately evaluate soft furnishings as to condition, materials and the techniques used in their manufacture’.

The role is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe and create ‘magnificent items that will be enjoyed by future generations and will give you the greatest sense of reward.’

According to the job description, if you are successful you will have the chance to leave your own royal legacy. Imagine that on your CV.

So what are you waiting for?

Applications close on April 6.
