Unless you’ve been living under a rock these past few weeks, you can’t have failed to notice that Taylor Swift has been in a spot of trouble. Ever since she ended her one year romance with Calvin Harris and embarked on a very public relationship with Tom Hiddleston, Swift has faced judgement and criticism from every angle. There’s been a Twitter takedown, Instagram abuse and one very cutting Snapchat vid. It’s proving tricky to keep up with, so here’s a rundown of what’s happened so far.

Calvin’s Twitter Rant

Initially keeping schtum on their breakup and Hiddleswift, last week Calvin took to Twitter to share his two pennies on the situation. Calvin criticised his ex girlfriend for making him “look bad” after People Magazine reported that Swift had in fact written Harris’s latest hit song, This is What You Came For under a pseudonym. Not leaving it there, he told Taylor to instead focus on her new relationship and referenced her supposed feud with Katy Perry.

Side note: Katy and Taylor have reportedly had bad blood since 2012 when three of Katy's California Dreams world tour dancers received a place on Taylor's world tour, and have since had a number of social media spats.

Katy Perry Weighs In

Following Calvin's tweets, the singer shared this Hilary GIF…

And retweeted this tweet…

Burn.

**The Snake Attack **

In the wake of Calvin’s rant about This is What You Came For, fans of the DJ (and Katy Perry) spammed Taylor’s Insta account with thousands of snakes (that’s the emoji we're talking about). Swift's fans quickly fought back with a barrage of hearts.

The Kardashian-West Take Down

Next up, Kim and Kanye got involed. Firstly Kim took to Twitter to speak out about Kanye and Taylor’s feud. With a snake, no less.

Quick recap: Kanye and Taylor’s ongoing fued goes back to the 2009 MTV music video awards when West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech with his now notorious rant backing Beyonce for the gong. Things had settled down until earlier this year when Kanye released his single Famous, which included the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that bitch famous”. Taylor naturally wasn't too happy, warning young women that "people along the way will try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame?”.

Well, now Kim K has released the footage of a snippet of the phone call between Kanye and Taylor in which Taylor is heard giving Kanye permission to use the lyric "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex". See the full transcript here.

**Taylor Responds **

Posting on Instagram: “That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.” Taylor wrote that the leaked convo is “character assassination”.
