Since Beyoncé broke the Internet last week with the first picture of her newborn twins, there is one topic that has caused more conversation than others. We are, of course, talking about Beyoncé and Jay Z's name choices.

However, thanks to Tina Knowles and her entertaining Instagram account, we have some insight.

Firstly, B's mum clarifyed for us that the babies names are Sir Carter and Rumi Carter, not, as some had assumed, Sir Carter Carter and Rumi Carter. And for anyone questioning the gender of the twins, Tina confirmed once and for all that they are a girl and a boy.

'Love number three... Sometimes we are the reason we can't find love!! We have to work on ourselves first to be whole,' Tina wrote.

This isn't the first time Beyoncé has taken inspiration from a writer. The singer famously collaborated with British poet Warsan Shire on her album Lemonade, and sampled Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi's TED talk We Should All Be Feminists in her song, Flawless.
