With the big Brexit debate on everyone’s brains right now, you may have bypassed another war…in the fashion community.

A little recap: after the iconic ‘90s supermodel Stephanie Seymour claimed power duo Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid were ‘b*tches of the moment’ in a Vanity Fair interview earlier this month, the claws were out.

Seymour said: ‘They are completely different than we [the 'original six'] were. Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title. [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title.’

KenGi were quick to hit back at the supposed supermodel shaming. ‘Gigi sent me the most recent rant and I'm disappointed. If you're going to tell us not to be in ''your moment,'' then don't be in mine!...But, if you choose to be a cyberbully, I'm going to stick up for myself,’ Kendall wrote on her app.

While Stephanie has since apologised for her comments, another model has come to clear the air between the raging runway stars for good. America’s Next Top Model host, Tyra Banks, naturally…

‘It's really tearing me apart,’ she wrote on Twitter. ‘I wanna quote Rodney King so badly right now.’

Taking to Instagram she penned a heartfelt plea to end the war of words in an age of fierce competition, documenting her own struggles when she was starting out in the industry…

‘18 years old. Backstage at some grand fashion show. In Europe. France? Italy? Can't remember. But what I DO remember is that even though I may look self-assured and confident, there was a lot of pain in my heart. There were roadblocks and people who wanted to halt my success, but the fire in my heart and support of my mother kept me going.'

Tyra continues: ‘If I could talk to my 18-year-old self, I'd tell her that she will grow up and be a voice for all models. For all women. That she will have a responsibility to speak up when she sees things going awry. When she sees women that are sisters having conflict, she must be bold. She must be unafraid. She must speak out. And she must do it today. And I will.Get ready.’

'The modeling world is now a democracy and we need to celebrate it, lean into it,' she also wrote in a long post on her website Tyra.com.

So girls, please play nice...

The mother in the modelling world has spoken.
