She may have first shot to fame as one fifth of our favourite girl band of all time, but now, with a fashion empire and recently announced make-up line, Victoria Beckham isn’t afraid to admit that singing and performing just aren’t her thing.

Speaking at an event at the National Portrait Gallery, the former Spice Girl told host Claudia Winkleman that she’d often lip sync during performances, while band mates Geri, Emma, Mel C and Mel B would sing live.

‘They used to turn [the microphone] off and just let the others sing. I got the last laugh – and now my mic is well and truly on, finally.’

The designer crushed our dreams last year when she made it clear that she'd be in no rush to take part in a Spice Girls reunion, which would mark the band's 20th anniversary. Mel C has also ruled herself out, preferring to focus on a 'more serious music career.' What's more serious than girl power, Mel?

Victoria also revealed that she was the only Spice Girl to make the most of the band's clothing allowance. 'I was always the one that loved fashion and it was quite a result for me because the girls always used to get their clothes for free because they were crap and so there was a lot of budget for me to have my little Gucci dress.'

In previous interviews, Victoria has revealed that the original little Gucci dress was actually from high street favourite Miss Selfridge.

'When all the other girls were being fun and spontaneous and jumping on tables, I was always the one checking the table wasn’t going to collapse,' she added. 'I was always the sensible one.' Mum Spice?
