10 Times The Game Of Thrones Cast Slayed On The Red Carpet

Winter is coming…but we don’t care because these dresses are so hot!

They might not wear much on the show, but off-screen the Game of Thrones girls know exactly how to work their style on the red carpet. Here are some of our favourite looks worn by the women of Westeros…

Emilia Clarke

Her character is called ‘the mother of dragons’, which explains why Emilia’s Dior Haute Couture look is totally on fire. She wore this zingy pink number to the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, keeping it simple with minimal accessories and letting this showstopper do the talking. We heart this look big time.

Sophie Turner

Sophie’s usual style is pretty and demure, which made this attention-grabbing frock that she wore to the Met Gala all the more special. The custom-made Burberry number fits her like a dream, while the red lipstick turns her from little Sansa Stark into a siren in one fell swoop. Love.

Maisie Williams

Unlike her tomboy character Arya Stark, Maisie’s red carpet look is pretty and girly. This age-appropriate A-line floral skirt and bandeau top is cute as a button and a great start in Maisie’s fashion journey.

Natalie Dormer

J.Mendel are known for their overtly glamorous designs, so it’s no surprise that drama queen Natalie opted for this attention-grabbing Gothic inspired dress. She’s working it to perfection with a simple ring Chanel ring and earrings – Margaery Tyrell would approve.

Lena Headey

Lena got a bit of flack from the celebrity press for this Jenny Packham blue and peach striped print gown, which she wore to the SAG awards, but as someone who usually plays it safe in a tried-and-trusted LBD, we salute her for trying something new. The halterneck bow is sweet and we’re digging the summery coral lips. Don’t listen to those haters, Lena!

Rose Leslie

Jenny Packham does glamour like no one else, so it’s no surprise that Rose picked this gorgeous gown with dark pink sequins and sheer detailing for the premiere of The Last Witch Hunter. The muted tones set off her slightly auburn hair perfectly, while the clean lines make for an elegant silhouette. Full marks for this one!

Carice van Houten

You might recognise Carice as ‘the red woman’ and she’s living up to her name with a vibrant red lip for the SAG Awards. She played it relatively safe with this strapless black gown, but she’s no less chic for it and the patterned courts add a bit of interest.

Gwendoline Christie

Statuesque Gwendoline towers over most of her co-stars at 6ft 3”, and this Oscar de la Renta gown – worn to the LA premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens - really plays to her long, athletic physique. The layered tulle fabric and fishtail silhouette is extremely elegant and lends Gwen a much more feminine, demure look than we’re used to seeing from her on-screen character Brienne of Tarth.

Sibel Kekilli

Sibel’s character Shae is rarely seen in her clothes on the show, but IRL she’s the picture of modesty in this high-necked, midi-sleeved gown at the 66th Emmy Awards. Although she blends in slightly with the carpet, we just love this vibrant hue and the gold accessories really take it up a notch.

Esme Bianco

We’re used to seeing a lot of cleavage from Esme in the show as her character Ros is a fan of an open-necked gown, but this conservative monochrome number shows that she’s a ‘less is more’ kind of gal when off-duty. The simple lines of this dress are extremely flattering and really make the most of her curves.
