THE FESTIVAL: Citadel

This weekend Citadel festival hits Victoria Park with music from 2manydjs and Ben Howard. But what I’m really looking forward to is the Sunday Feasting by Richard Turner, where he will be dishing out seven house slow roasted shoulder of lamb and a cheeky salted caramel chocolate tart for dessert. Sittings: 1pm, 3.30pm, or 6pm. Drinks not included. For tickets and more information click here [

THE RESTAURANT: Morden and Lea

Mark Sargeant Restaurant openings are always fun; great food and it’s always exciting to get in to see somewhere first. But my trip to Morden and Lea, Mark’s newest opening on Wardour Street (do go it’s brilliant), was made even more special by meeting Mark, who was on fine form, with some of the best chat I have heard in years – Mark it’s definitely your week! THE CAMPAIGN: Curry for Change

I am right behind charity Curry For Change, which aims to help families in rural Africa and Asia fight hunger and poverty. Until October you can host your own curry evening, collecting cash from your mates that they would have spent in a restaurant. A little goes long way. Just £12 can buy a farming demonstration for an entire village to learn how to conserve water and grow crops.[

THE POP UP: Som Saa

To celebrate the extension of their incredible Thai residency at Climpsons Arch, Som Saa have teamed up with Singha Beer to create a few exclusive dishes including mouthwatering moo ping and a rich venison jungle curry. The summer terrace is in full swing, so now is the perfect time to head down there of you have not been. Click here to book.

THE EATERIE: Granger and Co Kings Cross

Bill Granger brings his laidback pan-Asian-meets-Ozzy diner to Granger and Co Kings Cross. I love this brand, breakfast is incredible – ricotta pancakes with banana and honeycomb butter. And for lunch Bill’s yellow coconut fish curry with butternut squash and shaved cucumber is fantastic. Interesting that all my meetings are suddenly in Kings Cross at the moment! [
