New research from the University of British Columbia has found that women have better endurance than men, The Independent reported. In particular they found that women became less tired after completing exercise when compared to men.
The scientists completed their research by asking nine women and eight men to flex their foot as quickly as possible for a continous 200 times.
What they noticed was that the men were both more powerful and faster but they became fatigued a lot quicker than the women they studied.

While the study was relatively small, their findings support previous research.
'We've known for some time that women are less fatigable than men during isometric muscle tests - static exercises where joints don't move, such as holding a weight - but we wanted to find out if that's true during more dynamic and practical everyday movements. And the answer is pretty definitive: women can outlast men by a wide margin,' Professor Brian Dalton said.
Although this piece of research only looked at movement in the feet, Professor Dalton suggested he would expect similar results in other parts of the body.
'We know from previous research that for events like ultra-trail running, males may complete them faster but females are considerably less tired by the end,' he explained.
This is why when it comes to events such as ultra-marathons, women are likely to beat men.
