15 Fashion Bloggers You Need On Your Instagram Feed
Forget Twitter and Facebook - it’s universally acknowledged that Instagram is the fashion crowd’s favoured form of social media. It’s a platform that’s launched the careers of fledgling models and designers, not to mention a new generation of bloggers providing us with painstakingly curated squares of styling inspiration. If you're a fashion fan, we're guessing you've already added world famous bloggers like Man Repeller and Susie Bubble to your feed, so we've rounded up some of 2016's coolest new faces to follow now. Expect perfect hair, coat envy and a whole lot of marble work surfaces...
1. Look de Pernille
Copenhagen-based stylist and blogger Pernille’s Instagram grid is Scandi perfection. She’s a fan of Comme des Garcons’ cult stripy tees, cosy fisherman knits and all things Céline. Warning: following will give you serious life envy. Follow her @lookdepernille.
2. Blame It On Fashion
Blame It On Fashion’s Marie Hindkaer Wolthers is - you guessed it - another great Dane to add to your Instagram feed. She’s also fashion director at Luellemag.com, with a bohemian take on Scandi minimalism: floaty off-the-shoulder dresses, tapestry skirts and shearling coats punctuate the fashion editor monochrome. She’s just become a mum, so watch out for guest appearances from her very cute baby. Follow her @blamefashion.
3. Freddie Harrel
If our wardrobe was as covetable as Freddie's, we'd be jumping for joy, too. The French-born, London-based blogger's outfit posts are a breathe of fresh air in a world that can take itself all too seriously. But there's more to her blog than just excellent styling - Freddie has just launched SHE Unleashed, a programme of confidence boosting workshops designed to help you feel good on the inside and the outside. Follow her @freddieharrel.
4. The Haute Pursuit
Former model Vanessa Hong is the face (and impossibly cool ice-blonde bob) behind blog turned e-commerce site The Haute Pursuit. Add to your Instagram feed for envy-inducing shots of her Pinterest-worthy flat, her own brand minimalist jewellery and her amazing collection of fur coats. Follow her @thehautepursuit.
5. Fashion Me Now
Ready to suffer from some serious wanderlust? Head over to Lucy Williams’s Instagram account. The blogger behind Fashion Me Now balances the usual #OOTD posts with ridiculously perfect shots of trips to Sri Lanka, Mexico and LA - no filter required. You can check out our interview with Lucy here. Follow her on Instagram @lucywilliams02.
6. Sylvie Mus
Rwanda born, Helsinki-based blogger and model Sylvie is the happy owner of one of the best collections of coats we’ve ever seen, so her Instagram account is a one-stop destination for outwear inspiration. She’s also got an eye for colourful fur accessories and slouchy monochrome knits. Follow her @sylviemus_.
7. The Frugality
A fashion blog we can actually afford to shop from? Sign us up. Alex Stedman’s blog and Instagram account is dedicated to proving that it’s possible to shop luxuriously on a budget. Look out for snaps of her amazing loft conversion - the definition of (achievable) interiors goals. Follow her @thefrugality.
Singapore-based fashion student Uli Chan (Ulimali is a childhood nickname given to her by her dad) runs her style blog in her spare time, yet her beautiful outfit shots and perfectly curated Instagram grid have a lavish, editorial quality to them. We were definitely far, far less glam in our student days. Follow her @ulimali.
With her messy blonde bob, eye for vintage accessories and penchant for a Breton stripe, Anne-Laure, the Paris-based blogger behind Adenorah, is the epitome of laidback French style. A quick scroll through her profile will have you running to St. Pancras to jump on the Eurostar. Follow her @adenorah.
10. Trine's Wardrobe
We’re big fans of Trine’s effortlessly cool aesthetic, which we’d describe as a Scandi twist on Kate Moss’s famous off-duty style. As well as being the proud owner of an enviable selection of vintage denim, Trine also has her own beauty line and a collaboration with shoe brand Bianco. Follow her @trineswardrobe.
11. Yara Michels
We know, we know - another Scandi blogger with an effortlessly amazing blonde crop... but Yara Michels' Instagram is too good not to add to your feed. A fan of animal print, statement shoes (we're currently obsessing over her collection of glittery ankle boots, which are much cooler than they sound) and faux fur, she's recently turned her fashion blog into an online magazine, Chapter Friday, which is well worth adding to your news feed. Follow her @yara_michels.
12. Fashion Hoax
Head to Fashion Hoax (aka. Lian Galliard)’s Instagram for monochromatic style inspiration, perfectly executed brunch flat-lays and beautifully shot cityscapes that will have you booking a seat on the next budget flight to Amsterdam (Lian’s home city). Follow her @fashionhoax.
13. Anouk Yve
Founder of Scandi blogging platform CreatorsOfDesire, Anouk also has some of the best hair we’ve ever seen - the sort of messy curls that look just as good thrown back into a knotted bun as it does after a salon blow-dry. Watch out for special appearances from her very cute baby, Teun. Follow her @anoukyve.
Part of a new breed of Instagram-only fashion influencers, LA-based stylist Whitney Scherillo flip-reversed the usual blogging trajectory, starting off instead with an account on the social media site before launching the accompanying site, Whitneybearr. Her Instagram account embodies laid-back West Coast style - think breezy vintage dresses, effortlessly balayaged hair and denim cut offs. Oh, and lots of coffee. Follow her @whitneybearr.
15. Harper and Harley
Sara Donaldson of Harper and Harley is one of Australia’s biggest bloggers - she’s also one of the stars of E!’s Fashion Bloggers reality show. We’d recommend following for sheer escapism rather than day-to-day styling tips - her beauty posts are as glossy as any high-end ad campaign we’ve seen. Follow her @harperandharley.
