Alexa Chung- everyone’s style idol, beauty idol, hair idol and according to the lady herself, ‘Pop Idol’ (watch out Will Young)- knows a few things about partying. So who better to join our resident vlogger, Joshington Post, for an alternative look at party dressing? From how to steal her make-up look to the best hair do’s for seduction (racy)… here’s Alexa’s tips…
Joshington Post: For a girl out there who isn’t glitzy what would you recommend them doing for the party season hair and beauty wise?
ALEXA: Either a jazzy nail varnish or when you do the plaits like a Heidi plait and you could even put some tinsel in there... bauble earrings and add a bow!
JP: Is there a hairstyle you ever regret trying?
AC: At one point I dyed my hair to match Ginger Spice, Geri Halliwell. I wanted orange hair with blonde streaks at the front but my tasteful hairdresser at the time did a more nicer version of that. They were trying to save me, I was gutted.
JP: If you could have five people round for Christmas dinner dead or alive who would it be?
AC: I find Grimmy very entertaining… he’s alive last time I checked. Amy Schumer… Lena Dunham is very clever. It’s quite a feminist Christmas! Could Jimmy Hendrix be there to play for us in the corner? That would be nice! That’s quite a morbid Christmas. Let’s get Kurt Cobain around!
JP: If a girl was going to come to you and ask,' if I want to get lucky at the Christmas party, what beauty look do you recommend'…
AC: I have done some thorough research and discovered that boys don’t like girls plastered in make-up. But when you are drunk plastered I don’t think it really matters. But I wouldn’t advise getting laid at the Christmas party, as it could be awkward come New Year…
JP: What is the worst gift you have recieved?
AC: I have three siblings and my Dad once gave us all hats with radio antennas built in...
JP: How to you react to a bad gift?
AC: You know what I am a terrible actress but I am a great actress when it comes to a bad gift!
