For the A-list, a tattoo is just as much of a status symbol as the latest 'It' purchase. Rihanna has inker to the stars Bang Bang in NYC on speed-dial and Cara Delevingne’s lion face on her index finger is now iconic.
So it seems fitting that Tod’s has collaborated with London’s hottest tattoo artist, Saira Hunjan, for their limited edition Double T Tattoo bag. The Brit-based artist, who counts the Primrose Hill set from Kate Moss to Jude Law among her clients, is branching out into bags for the one-off creation currently on exhibition at Tod's London Boutique.
To mark the occasion Suki Waterhouse is filmed getting her first tattoo for the luxury brand’s campaign video...Well, sort of. The model and actress winces as it appears as though she’s getting inked, but as it turns out it’s Hunjan’s handy work on (leather) skin handcrafted by Tod's.
Too scared to get a permanent stamp on your body? No matter. The ‘70s-style tan messenger bag is the easiest way to buy into the tattoo trend, which features lions, serpents, roses and hearts in the designs.
Definitely one for the winter wish-list.
