Forgot Something? Don't Worry - There's A Uniqlo Vending Machine For That

How often have you left the house and realised that you've dressed completely inappropriately for the weather? Or arrived at a new destination on holiday and been over optimistic about how warm it is? Now Uniqlo has the perfect solution: a vending machine stocked with everything you might need.

Launching in 10 locations across America, the new Uniqlo To Go machines will stock mens and womens long-sleeved Heattech T-shirts and lightweight jackets in a variety of sizes and colours, for those occasions when you really wish you'd checked the weather before leaving the house.

Popping up at airports and shopping malls with heavy footfall, they're hoping to catch customers in a rush to buy something conveniently without wanting to wait in line at a store. The first machine opened today at Oakland Airport in California.

'At the airport, you don't have a lot of time to wait in line and explore a store,' Uniqlo's U.S. marketing chief Marisol Tamaro told The Wall Street Journal.

It comes after Zara launched in-store self-service checkout machines last year in an attempt to offer customers a more streamlined experience.
