It's been a busy day full of Beyonce news - not that we're complaining. For starters,the singer's campaign for H&M was unveiled, which sees her sizzling away in the heat and showcasing her delectable derriere in the brand's swimwear line. And tonight, the divalicious one has hit the stage in Belgrade, Serbia to kick the Mrs Carter Show World Tour into action.
So what's Bey wearing for her opening show? None other than European Couture house, Ralph & Russo. We've been reliably informed that the brand's Creative Director, Tamara Ralph, was personally requested by Beyonce to design the creation exclusively for her - and funnily enough, Tamara didn't refuse. The stunning white embellished crystal and pearl bodysuit features a peplum skirt and fringed epaulettes. It's the perfect opening outfit, dontcha think?
UPDATE: So how did the brand feel to see Beyonce bringing their creation to life? We spoke to Tamara Ralph this morning. ‘Beyonce is such a powerful and inspirational woman,' she told us. 'We were absolutely thrilled when she approached Ralph & Russo Couture again to design outfits for her infamous ‘Mrs Carter World Tour’. But this isn't the only piece in Ms Knowles's tour wardrobe - oh no. Peter Dundas, Creative Director at Emilio Pucci, has created four looks for the singing superstar inspired by his Autumn Winter 2013 collection. Dean and Dan Caten from DSquared2 have also created exclusive pieces that are full-on 'Glamazon'.
As for the footwear, Tina Knowles - Beyonce’s stylist and mother - worked with Stuart Weitzman to create a variety of shoes to complement the costumes, ranging from stiletto heels with Swarovski crystal detailing to lace military-influenced boots. We can't wait to see those!
