Fashion is a fickle beast, changing its mind quicker than you can click your fingers. To keep you abreast of what’s hot and what’s been put on ice, here’s your guide to Milan Fashion Week’s biggest revelations.

Right now, bubble skirts are staging a comeback. Yves Saint Laurent's main man Anthony Vaccarello proved he's a fan by showing a staggering amount in the French house's ss18 show.

Who doesn’t love a pocket? They are nonchalant and practical, something all our clothes should aspire to. And, now that Valentino has found a way of attaching them to evening wear they are chic too. Hurrah!

Once upon a time, you couldn’t step outside a fashion show without seeing twins. Grown women with degrees and careers were dressing like toddlers. Not actually, but they were purposefully co-ordinating their outfits with whoever they were attending fashion week together. They did this because they wanted to be photographed and placed in a magazine’s street style gallery. But, all of a sudden, like the colluded, but not over their outfits this time, it stopped. PFW was about individuality and standing alone. Having a well-dressed frow friend is so last season.

It’s the end of an era, you could say. For Colette, the founding father of concept stores has witnessed its last ever Paris Fashion Week as it is closing at the end of the year.
