The edgiest spring / summer '17 campaign has just landed. Enter: Versus Versace’s latest ad. Starring Zayn and breakout model of the year Adwoa Aboah. Oh yeah, and it's photographed by Gigi Hadid on her iPhone and digi-cameras. Told you it was a goodun.
The former 1D singer was clearly excited to be part of the process: ‘It was sick to work with Versus,’ Zayn said in a statement. ‘Donatella is a G. It was extra special that Gigi shot the campaign. Looking forward to following up with my Versus collection that drops in June.’
Giving their best you-can’t-sit-with-us expressions in a series of intimate shots - while hanging out in a suite at the iconic LA hangout Chateau Marmont – Zayn and Adwoa look the epitome of cool in a series of black leather get-ups, metal mesh tanks and fine knit tops.
The Pillowtalk singer first teased a collaboration with Gigi was in the works after he posted a (blurry) 6-second clip on his Instagram of his GF behind the lens, captioned simply ‘Stay tuned #VersusUncensored’. It reached 1 million views in less than seven hours.
Of course, Gigi’s not the only supermodel-turned-photographer of late. Her BFF Kendall Jenner recently shot Sienna Miller for LOVE magazine and W magazine enlisted Bella Hadid to shoot a fashion editorial last summer.
