This September L'Oréal and Balmain will launch their first ever capsule lipstick collection, and today we’ve got a sneak peek of what to expect thanks to the first drop of imagery.

Hitting stores on September 1st, the twelve piece collection of ‘couture matte shades’ crosses three themes (Rock, Couture and Glamazone) and includes something for everyone from classic red and peachy nude to electric blue and forest green.

The ad campaign itself features Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing alongside twelve models all sporting one lipstick shade from the collection. Much like Balmain’s catwalk shows, the campaign features models of all ethnicities, and famous names on the line-up include Lara Stone, Neelam Gill, Doutzen Kroes, Ysaunny Brito and Soo Joo Park.

The casting is meant to reflect ‘three tribes of L’Oréal Paris and Balmain Paris femininity,’ a joint statement released by the brands read. Each of the four shades within the three collections are designed to suit all skintones and send ‘a message of beauty in diversity and female empowerment.’

Coming in at £12.99, this collaboration gives everyone the chance to buy a bit of Balmain, and at a fraction of the normal price.

This isn’t the first time Rousteing has worked on this type of project - Balmain famously worked with H&M to create a hugely successful high street clothing collection. And if the H&M collab is anything to go by we predict another sellout…

We’ll race you to the checkout.

Available from September 1 at Harvey Nichols, and nationwide from September 25.
