Gender’s never been in the news more than now… Just last week the Advertising Standards Authority announced a (long-overdue!) project to look at gender stereotypes in adverts, fashion is breaking down the male/female boundaries (who says a man can’t wear a floral suit, thank you Gucci!) and public figures like Ruby Rose and Caitlyn Jenner are challenging gender norms like never before.

That’s why Grazia decided to produce a special gender issue to discover what the new gender frontier means for women today. And it turns out gender identity isn’t as black and white as people once thought - so we caught up with those at the forefront of the revolution.

We polled 2,000 women in an exclusive survey - see what we discovered about the new ‘genderation’ and find out whether you’re a pioneer, a teacher or an explorer.

The issue is packed full of incredible interviews too, including with the journalist and campaigner Paris Lees. The activist who’s blazed a trail for transgender rights talks about gender labels and why she doesn’t need anyone to validate her womanhood.

Ariana Grande goes big on her feminist calling and explains why she refuses to let anyone pigeonhole her. The pint-sized superstar puts it simply– you can be a feminist who gets their hair and makeup done.

And don’t miss feminist writer Charlotte Raven talking about why she’s raising her children gender-neutrally. She’s determined not to replicate the stereotypical gender roles of her own childhood – but it’s not as easy as you might think!

Masculinity needs to realise it’s not set in stone according to the cross-dressing artist Grayson Perry. He tells us about his new documentary All Man and what he’s learnt about himself along the way.

Plus, don’t forget to check out our boundary-breaking beauty shoot. Discover the gender-crossing classics that everyone needs in their bathroom and switch up your scent with some gender-bending perfumes. They come highly recommended by fragrance expert Persolaise.

Boiler suits, trouser suits, military uniforms – where has all the conventional femininity gone, asks our fashion experts. They dissect the biggest style to land on the high-street this season - genderless clothing.

All this and much more in this week’s issue!
