If you’re a fan of both travel and cocktails (erm, who isn’t?), then we may have just found your ideal job. Absolut Vodka is searching for the brand’s next Sensory Expert, and it sounds like the dreamiest way to make a living.
After more than four decades in the industry, Per Hermansson, Absolut’s Master Sensory Designer, is about to retire, and the luxury spirit company is searching for his replacement.
As Absolut’s Master Sensory Designer you will travel the world learning about the latest food and drink trends, develop new cocktails on behalf of the brand, and lead masterclasses for spirit fans. When you’re not on the road you will spend time in the picturesque Swedish town of Ahus, the home of Absolut.
The successful candidate needs to be “a tastemaker and trend spotter” and “at one with their nose”.
“This is one of the most complex jobs in the business – you need to be equal parts innovator, chemist, teacher, creator and ambassador. This person not only needs to have the technical skills needed for the job, but a passion for creativity to keep Absolut on the forefront innovation,” Hermansson commented.
