This week Anne Hathaway confirmed pregnancy rumours by posting a bikini photo on her Instagram account, proudly drawing attention to her baby bump.
Hitting back at the paparazzi, the actress wrote :“So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed. I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter.” Amen to that.
Anne's not the first A-lister to use social media to announce her pregnancy news. Last year, Coco Rocha announced her first pregnancy with an arty Instagram video where she wears a nude bodysuit and the camera gives a 360 degree view of her bump. At the end of the video a notice reads: 'Baby Conran Arriving Spring 2015'.
******This got us thinking about how other stars have unveiled their baby bump. Of course Beyonce announced her pregnancy in the most Beyonce way ever - on the red carpet at the VMAs and then at the end of her performance of 'Love On Top.'

Street style star Eva Chen announced her pregnancy in style (natch) posting one of her signature bag n' shoes Instagrams from the back of a car, with a matching mini Chanel bag and pair of baby New Balances. Stacy Keibler posted a picture of a bun in the oven (get it?) and Gwen Stefani posted an Insta of her wearing a crown with the caption: 'I was ready to hand over the crown. but I guess I am still queen of the house."
In 2014 the Ice Bucket Challenge was an unexpected way for stars to announce their pregnancy. When Chris O'Dowd completed his challenge he said: '"I'd like to nominate Richard Ayoade, Graham Linehan and Baby O'Porter. So brave." Zoe Saldana nominated her husband to take on her challenge because of her bump, while Hayden Panettiere confirmed her pregnancy in her ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by nominating her 'unborn child.'
