ARE YOU READY FOR A DIGITAL DETOX?

On 20 June we are devoting a whole issue to embracing life ‘unplugged’. We're asking readers to get switched on to logging off and disconnect to reconnect – trying to break the habit of absent-mindedliy checking, flicking and swiping, by consciously taking time off from our digital world and social media to reclaim real life.

To celebrate the launch of Grazia’s first Unplugged issue, we are inviting readers to join us in disconnecting to reconnect - trying to break the habit of absent-mindedly checking, flicking and swiping, by consciously taking time off from our digital world and social media to reclaim real life. Get involved by arranging your own NED night at home. Whether it be with friends, family, partners or children, we want you to take a break from technology, whether that be leaving your phone in your bag when out for a meal, not scrolling through your phone before going to bed or turning off your emails when going on holiday – do your bit to step away and take a break to better your health and wellbeing that little bit more. So get involved, unplug and introduce digital detoxing into your life and don't forget to let us know how it went and email us on feedback@graziamagazine.co.uk

Alternatively join the Grazia team and explore the world of digital detoxing and take inspiration from those who’ve made the change and get involved at our five events...

The Ned Night – Tuesday 20 June

Grazia Unplugged: the ‘anti-social’ success story/Disconnect for success

Packed with successful women who have thrived by disconnecting from technology, social media or even their old lives entirely. Speakers on the night will include Jody Shield, an ex-advertising worker who quit it all to become a meditation ambassador, and Caroline Jones, the founder of Restival – a Wi-Fi free retreat and festival combined. The event will take place at the brand new ‘it’ venue in London, The Ned, a hotel, club and collection of restaurants in the City of London. Winners will be asked to arrive at 7pm promptly on Tuesday 20 June where they will be taken up to the beautiful roof terrace of the Ned, receiving wine and canapes with fantastic views of London, before the event begins. Terms and conditions apply*.

Wake up With... Grazia, Sound Bath with Sound Sebastien,Thursday 22 June

In this session, you'll enjoy a sound bath with Jasmine Hemsley and Toni Dicks. The brainchild of two like-minded Aquarians, Toni Dicks and Jasmine Hemsley met in 2016 and quickly recognised a shared passion for the power and joy of sound. Having practiced in the wellness field for a number of years, the duo were drawn to the study of sound as an extension of their existing philosophies. Working together as Sound Sebastien, Toni and Jasmine create soothing sound baths to relax, uplift and inspire.

An antidote to the hectic pace of inner city London life, a ‘sound bath’ offers the chance to switch off the mind, open the heart and calm the spirit, a session to reset and renew. A Sound Bath with Sound Sebastien is an inclusive space, with no experience of sound therapy or meditation required to enjoy the benefits.
