It seems we can no longer ignore the thousandth software update message which crops up on our screen, as WhatsApp has launched a whole new feature.
Inspired by one of our favourite apps, Snapchat, the messaging giant has revealed a tool enabling users to now add emojis, text and doodles over both photos and videos. Sound familiar?
Following the success of Instagram stories, the latest feature is destined to be a sure-fire hit.
The Facebook-owned messaging service has also introduced a second similar snapchat-style feature, as users can also take photographs with a front-facing flash. Perfect if you aren’t prepared to sacrifice your early night in with Netflix just to reply to your friend’s message.
Via a blog post, WhatsApp stated that the new feature will help you to achieve the ‘perfect selfie’. If that’s the case, here’s to hoping they roll out some snapchat-style filters too…
The feature is already available to download for Android users and they will be rolling out a version for iPhones very shortly so make sure to keep any eye out…
