Here at heat hq we're not ashamed to admit we're a bit obsessed with Gossip Girl. In fact, we're currently working our way through the boxset for about the 423047th time and this time we're actually struggling to differentiate between real life and the 'fabulous lives of Manhattan's elite' (if you know, you know).

This morning we were genuinely disappointed when we rolled over and there wasn't a shirtless, tanned Nate Archibald lying in our bed. And the real reality hit when we were pressed up against the doors of the tube on the Central line and not enjoying a ride from our Park Av apartment to Bendels.

Anyway. Gossip Girl is bloody great and we're always excited when the stars talk about the possibility of a revival.

Blake Lively (Serena Van der Woodsen) previously got us all excited when she said 'never say never' about more episodes. But now Ed Westwick – who played Chuck Bass – has got involved and crushed all our hopes and dreams. Classic Chuck, tbh.

Speaking to the Radio Times he said: “Nah, that’s not gonna happen."

Oh.

He continued: "I hear they’re doing Will and Grace, they’ve done Gilmore Girls. But it’s such a strange thing to think about.

“It feels like we only just finished! And I haven’t done enough in between yet to feel like I could comfortably revisit it. And I did so much with that character – it’s played out, man. It’s done."

Ya killin' us Ed. First you go and get a fancy new girlfriend and now THIS.

While we may be deprived of more Mr Bass and co. for now, you can catch Ed in his brand-new BBC2 comedy, White Gold.
