But wine comes a close second.
So we are beyond excited about this wine advent calendar. In fact, we’re borderline obsessed.
There’s a 200ml bottle of vino lurking behind each door of the very adult advent countdown, which will be available in Aldi from 1 November for £49.
That’s £2 a glass! Which almost puts it on a par with Wetherspoons. Not that we hang out in ‘Spoons, you understand. We’re always down the Chiltern Firehouse / Faces / House of Smith.
Oh, who are we kidding? We love a Curry Club.
ANYWAY, details about which exact wines will be in the thrilling calendar are so far unconfirmed but the Drinks Business says there'll be a mixture of red, white, and rosé from France, plus some bubbles from Italy and Spain.
Kind of pisses all over (thinks) pretty much any other advent calendar we’ve ever heard of.
But maybe open each door in the evening, yeah? And drink responsibly. Whatever that means.
