Ariana Grande has taken to Twitter to speak out about the horrific events that took place at her concert in Manchester last night.

The singer, who had been performing at the Manchester Arena, has expressed her sadness following the explosion after the concert leaving 22 people dead and nearly 60 thought to be injured.

She wrote: "broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words."

Her fans were quick to respond on Twitter condemning the horrific act, but reminding Ariana not to blame herself.

Actor and comedian Lena Dunham also stepped in to offer her support, saying: "You are supported by so many. Your work promotes love & acceptance. These acts do not represent you, your fans or the heart of this world."

The singer's manager, Scooter Braun, also took to Twitter to release a statement.

He shared: "Tonight, our hearts are broken. Words cannot express our sorrow for the victims and families harmed in this senseless attack," the statement read.

"We mourn the lives of children and loved ones taken by this cowardly act. We are thankful for the selfless service tonight of Manchester's first responders who rushed towards danger to help save lives.

"We ask all of you to hold the victims, their families and all those affected in your hearts and prayers."

Reports also claim that Ariana has suspended the rest of her Dangerous Woman European tour in the wake of last night's tragic events, however London's o2 arena issued the following: "Ariana is due to perform at The O2 on Thursday and Friday and we will advise as soon as we can as to the status of those shows."

Our thoughts are with all those affected.
