Following the devastating attack in Manchester at an Ariana Grande concert on May 22nd, which sadly claimed the lives of 22 victims, Ariana Grande returned to host the One Love Manchester benefit concert in their honour last night.

This concert, designed to raise money by those affected by the attack, saw a variety of artists come together and pay a moving tribute to the victims. Amongst them were artists such as Justin Bieber, Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry.

Ariana Grande has revealed that the One Love Manchester set list was actually meant to be entirely different, but the singer decided to change the songs they had rehearsed after meeting victim 15-year-old Olivia Campbell’s mother.

Taking to the stage, 23-year-old Ariana told the crowd: “I had the pleasure of meeting Olivia’s mommy a few days ago and as soon as I met her I started crying and gave her a big hug.

“She told me to stop crying as Olivia wouldn’t want me to cry and said Olivia would have wanted to hear the hits.

“We had a totally different show planned and had a rehearsal but changed everything.

“Tonight has been filled with love and fun and bright energy, so thank you for that.”

Some of the songs performed at One Love Manchester on this new set list included ‘Angels’ by Robbie Williams, ‘Where is the love?’ by Black Eyed Peas and ‘One Last Time’ by Ariana Grande – a particularly emotional tribute as this was sung by Ariana at her concert on May 22nd before the attack took place.

Supporting the crowd, Ariana said: “I want to thank you all for being here today. Thank you for being here and being so loving and strong.

“I love you guys so much the kind of love and unity you are showing is the medicine the world needs right now. I want to thank you for coming. I love you so much.”
