Taking her online presence over to Instagram (where her account still exists), Azealia got pretty wordy over the weekend, posting a load of text heavy images where she persistently tried to defend her actions. She also posted looooadsa screenshots of postive messages from her fans.

However, there has been no attempt at an apology for the slurs she aimed at Zayn. Yet.

Until last night, when she posted this pretty official apology:

In a text uploaded to her page, she wrote: "Now that the immediacy of the infamous incident has worn off, I've had sometime to decompress & take a more rational assessment of things.

"I want to extend my sincerest apologies to the world. Employing racial/sexual slurs/stereotypes in attempts to make fun of or degrade another person or group is absolutely unacceptable and is not fair or fun for anyone.

"Allowing my anger to get the best of me, I've managed to insult millions of people without reason. And for that I give my deepest apologies."

Even though Azealia HAS apoligised, music insiders have come forward to state that her outbursts are damaging her career.

An insider told The Sun: “Her music was provocative and critically acclaimed and her 2011 breakthrough track, 212, is still a club anthem. But now she seems to be employing a troll strategy to get people talking about her.

“It’s working in the short-term because she’s in the news but it is overshadowing her as an artist.”

Azealia has spoken out agaisn't a string of stars including Rita Ora, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, Beyonceand has frequently raised eyebrows by supporting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
