25-year-old Luella Michie, who tragically lost her life at Bestival last weekend is the daughter of Holby City actor John Michie; and he believes her death was an accident as opposed to murder as was originally reported.

Luella's body was found in woodland area just oustide of the main festival site at Dorset's Lulworth Castle; and it's now been confirmed she's the daughter of John who's also appeared in Coronation Street and Taggart.

A statement from John's agent reads: "Sadly, I can confirm the tragic death of John Michie's daughter Louella at Bestival. John and his wife Carol ask that the privacy of their family be respected at this traumatic time."

The cause of Luella's death has still not been determined, however Detective Chief Inspector at Dorset Police, Sarah Derbyshire, confirmed yesterday that "enquiries are now underway to establish how she died.

"A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course and this should give us more of an indication as to the cause of her death."

It was reported yesterday that a 28-year-old man from London had been arrested on suspicion of murder, though John's since told The Sun he believes her death was an accident.

He said: "It's not murder - they were friends. It was just a tragic mistake, a tragic accident.

"She touched so many lives. She was so very positive, so bright, so out there. She had such energy. The tributes to her have been incredible."

Our thoughts are with Luella's friends and family at this time.
