Here at heatworld we're so heavily invested in the life and times of a certain Stephen Bear we like to think we know his face like the back of our hand. Those ocean-blue eyes. Every follicle of stubble. That tan, though. We'd certainly spot him in a line-up.
So imagine our shock when he posted a rare throwback pic from his high school days looking what can only be described as UNRECOGNISABLE.
(We know puberty and the general aging process tends to affect one's looks, but you can't deny 2006 Stephen Bear looks pretty bloody different.)
Not only is Bear circa '06 (the year Chico's It's Chico Time hit number 1 if you're after some context) missing his trademark tattoos, but his hair's got that distinctly-noughties vibe about it and his shoes remind us of those Kickers all the lads in school had. Brilliant.
Fans obviously had to do a double take, too. One commented 'surely that's not you??? Looks nothing like ya bio!!!' with another adding 'which one is he?'.
One joker even commented 'Dean Gaffney' complete with laughing-crying emoji, and tbh we can kinda see where they're coming from.
So long as nobody discovers our pics from the deepest, darkest depths of year 7, we love a throwback.
