We were all completely blindsided by the news that Angelina filed for divorce from Brad Pitt back in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
And after a long and sometimes unpleasant custody battle, Angelina won sole custody of the couple's six children - Maddox, 15, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, Pax, 12 and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
However, our wounds definitely started to heal as we began to witness both parties trying to move on with their lives and make the best out of a bad situation.
Angelina threw herself back into her humanitarian work, whilst Brad received a standing ovation at the Golden Globes in January for his producer role in award-winning flick Moonlight.

And now, in an emotional interview with BBC World News in Cambodia, where she was promoting her latest film, First They Killed My Father, Angelina spoke out for the very first time about her divorce from Brad.

Fighting back tears, she said: "It was a very difficult time and we are a family; we will always be a family and we will get through this time…
"Many people find themselves in this situation… We’ve all been through a difficult time and my focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through… We are and forever will be a family and so that is how I am coping. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer."
Angie also revealed that she, her kids and ALL their pets now all sleep in the same room at home in California:
"Right now everybody’s in my room – two hamsters, two dogs… It’s wonderful!”
"Usually I just wake up trying to figure out who’s gonna get the dog out, who is gonna start the pancakes, and did anyone brush their teeth."
Sounds like the perfect life, tbh.
