Prepare to be plunged into the depths of doom right now, for Brooklyn Beckham and his lady-love Chloe Moretz have broken up for the second time.

The pair – who had faced down Khloe Kardashian's butt-shaming wrath together earlier in the summer – look to have split sometime in the last few weeks, a report from Page Six claims, but heat's digging revealed he was still posting snaps of her as little as a fortnight ago.

And less than two months back, Chloe was telling Brooklyn on Instagram: "Idk who your girlfriend is, but she's pretty lucky huh?"

Chloe and Brooklyn first got together in 2014, but split in the same year. They got back together in May 2016 and everyone thought this might have a real chance of going somewhere, but nope: it wasn't to be.

While neither has publicly spoken about the split, Page Six's insiders reckon they've not been spotted out together for a while – and Brooklyn has now returned to London with the rest of his family after their two-month stay in LA, where Chloe lives.

The news comes after an interview with Elle in which Chloe said Brooklyn was "a huge support" when it came to boosting her confidence.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't need a man for anything, but when I'm feeling bad about myself, he's like, 'Stop. Look at what you say in interviews. Look at what you stand for. Listen to your own words, because you're as beautiful as you say you are! All young women are more beautiful than they think, you know. And I like you more in sweatpants than I do when you're on a red carpet'," she revealed.

"And it's nice to have a young man who's 17 years old be able to look at a woman that way. I think it means we're on the right track."

BRB, just going to be sobbing into a paper bag for a while.
