Did Calvin Harris make a dig at Taylor Swift in his GQ Award acceptance speech?

We don't know for sure, but we imagine Calvin Harris had quite literally the best night OF HIS LIFE last night.

Firstly, because he was at the GQ Awards (which is very exciting); secondly because he won the Patron Solo Artist Of The Year Award (and it's always nice to win an award); and thirdly because it emerged Taylor Swift had split with Tom Hiddleston right slap bang in the middle of the night.

We're not trying to say Calvin is a bitter ex or anything, but we imagine he was secretly pleased.

And it looked like he threw some mega shade Tay Tay's way during his acceptance speech, saying he'd been through "a lot" this year.

"I'd like to dedicate this to my manager Mark Gillespie for being a fantastic man. We've been through a lot and discovered a lot this year."

He also reminisced about the past, saying: "I feel at 32 I'm nearing the end. Just kidding.

"This week ten years ago was when I left Marks and Spencer Simply food in Clapham South where I carried out such tasks as date-rotating sandwiches and moving the salmon."

Oh, Calvin, we do love you.

Taylor and Tom's split was "amicable", according to People, and it has been suggested that it was due to Taylor not being interested in being part of a "power couple".

"Tom’s a great guy but there’s no room for him in her life.

"She doesn’t want a serious relationship and that’s where it was heading… It was all far too public, in the end,” a source told The Sun.

"Tom freaked her out with his love of the limelight.

The source continued: "Taylor is so focused on her career it’s unreal… She is in control of her life, that’s a fact.

"She is the driving force in what she does and where she goes, and she certainly won’t let a boyfriend interfere with that.”

Very fair.
