When it was first announced ITV2's Love Island and Channel 5's Big Brother were to start on the very same day and air at the exact same time every bloody night, we could've cried. Literally how could we be expected to choose between our two fave telly shows? That's like picking a favourite parent. Or being forced to make a decision between Oreos and Ben & Jerry's. Inhumane.

But the public have spoken, and it's looking like Caroline Flack and the Love Island lot are blowing this year's BB ratings out of the water.

Watch below: Where are the Love Island bunch now?

According to reports, Big Brother apparently hit a new ratings low on Saturday 1st July with just 800,000 viewers; fewer than BBC's old fave Casualty. While no new episode of Love Island was aired that night, it's said to be bringing in 'millions' of viewers each night.

Last Friday 30th June 1.8 million people (a record high) reportedly tuned in to see the islanders compared to 700,000 flicking their tellyboxes to Channel 5.

Uh oh.
